Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 7 November 2026
We want everyone preparing for the SMSTS or SMSTS-R exam to be able to use this site, whatever device, settings or assistive technology they use. This statement says what we aim for, what we know does not work well yet, and how to tell us about a problem.
SMSTS Mock Test is an independent practice site. It is not run by CITB, and our mocks contain no real CITB questions.
1. Our aim
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) at level AA. The site has not been independently audited, so we do not claim full conformance.
2. Known limitations
- Full mocks are timed. A full mock gives you 35 minutes for 25 questions, the same as the real exam.
- Bot checks. Some mock starts and the sign-up and login forms use a Cloudflare Turnstile check. It is often invisible, but it can ask you to tick a box. Cloudflare runs it, and we cannot change how it works.
- Third-party pages. Payment happens on PayPal's checkout page. Its accessibility is outside our control.
- No full audit yet. We have not yet tested every page with every screen reader.
3. Compatibility
The site is built to work in current versions of the main browsers on phones, tablets and computers, and with screen zoom and larger text settings. If something breaks for you, please tell us which browser and device you used.
4. Support in the real exam
Support in the real SMSTS or SMSTS-R exam is arranged by your training provider. CITB's quality rules allow reasonable adjustments, such as holding the exam in a separate room and reading the questions to you. Ask your training provider before the course.
5. Tell us about a barrier
If you find something on this site hard or impossible to use, email [email protected] with:
- the page address
- what you were trying to do and what happened
- the device, browser and any assistive technology you use
If you need a question or explanation in another format, ask and we will try to provide it.
6. If you are not happy with our reply
The Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) can advise you on your rights, at equalityadvisoryservice.com.
7. How we prepared this statement
This statement was written on 7 November 2026. We will update it after the first full accessibility test and whenever we make a significant change to the site.
By using SMSTS Mock Test you acknowledge that you have read this Accessibility Statement.
