Terms of Use

Last updated: 7 November 2026

These terms set the rules for using smstsmocktest.co.uk, its mocks, drills and accounts. By using the site you agree to them. If you buy a paid plan, our Terms of Sale and Refund Policy also apply. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Who we are

SMSTS Mock Test ("we", "us") is based at 104 Cunnery Rd, Manchester, United Kingdom. You can reach us at [email protected].

2. What the service is

SMSTS Mock Test is an independent practice site with mock exams and drills for the SMSTS and SMSTS-R exams, and guides on how those exams work. Our mocks contain no real CITB questions.

The site is not:

  • CITB, or connected with, approved by or paid by CITB
  • a training provider, or a seller of the SMSTS or SMSTS-R course
  • a way to book a course, an exam or a re-sit
  • a source of real or old CITB exam questions
  • a qualification, card or certificate of any kind

3. Free and paid use

You can take 1 mock a week without an account, or 3 a week with an account and a confirmed email address. Unlimited mocks and drills are available on a paid plan. What a paid plan includes, its price and how refunds work are set out in our Terms of Sale before you pay. We may change what is free in future. A change will not reduce a paid plan you have already bought.

4. Your account

  • Use a real email address that you can receive mail at, and keep your password private.
  • An account is for one person. Do not share your login or let others use your paid plan.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account until you tell us it has been misused.
  • Tell us straight away at [email protected] if you think someone else has used your account.

5. How you may use the site

You may use the site for your own revision, on any of your own devices. You may link to any page, and you may quote a short passage with a link back to the page it came from.

6. What you must not do

You must not:

  • copy, scrape, download in bulk, republish or sell our questions, answers or explanations, in whole or in part, including to train or feed an AI system
  • use bots, scripts or other automated tools to start mocks, collect questions or create accounts
  • get round the free limits or the bot checks, for example by creating many accounts or resetting your practice ID
  • share, sell or rent your account or paid plan
  • break the law, or try to harm, overload or break into the site, its account service or its users' data
  • pretend to be CITB or us
  • use the site to claim, or help anyone claim, that they have passed a real SMSTS or SMSTS-R exam

7. Who owns the content

The questions, answers, explanations, guides, design and code on this site belong to us or to the people who licensed them to us, and are protected by copyright and database rights. Using the site does not give you ownership of them.

"CITB", "Site Safety Plus", "SMSTS", "SMSTS-R" and "CSCS" are names and marks of their owners. We use them only to say which exams our practice is for. Their use does not mean any of those owners endorses us.

If you think something on the site infringes your rights, email [email protected] with the page, the material and the rights you hold. We will look at it and remove it if the complaint is valid.

8. No guarantee of results

Our questions are practice, written by us. The real paper is chosen by CITB and may ask about the same topics in different ways. We do not guarantee that you will pass the SMSTS or SMSTS-R exam.

9. Not health and safety advice

The site helps you revise for an exam. It is not health and safety advice for any real job, and it does not replace your course, your site induction, risk assessments, method statements or instructions from your employer. On site, follow those and the law.

10. Accuracy and availability

We check our questions against legislation.gov.uk and HSE guidance, and our exam facts against CITB's scheme rules, and we fix mistakes we are told about (see our Editorial Policy). A question or fact may still be out of date or wrong. Check course and exam rules with your training provider before you rely on them.

We aim to keep the site running, but we do not promise that it will always be available or free of faults. We may pause it for maintenance or fixes.

Logins and mocks run on our account service, the Accounts Hub. Payments are handled by PayPal and bot checks by Cloudflare. Their own terms apply to their parts of the service. We link to other sites such as CITB, CSCS, HSE and legislation.gov.uk. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for them.

12. Our liability to you

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 for paid digital content.

Subject to that:

  • We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable when you started using the site, or for business losses such as lost income or lost work. The site is for personal revision.
  • We are not liable for the result of any real exam, or for any decision you make based on a mock score.
  • We provide the free parts of the site as they are.
  • If you have bought a paid plan, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for it.

13. Ending or suspending access

You can stop using the site at any time, and ask us by email to close your account. We may suspend or close an account, or block access, if you break these terms, especially section 6. If we close an account with a paid plan for a reason other than a breach of these terms, we will refund the unused part of what you paid.

14. Privacy

How we handle your data is explained in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when the law or the service changes. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when. If a change matters to account holders, we will email you before it takes effect. If you keep using the site after a change, the new terms apply.

16. General

  • If a court finds part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
  • If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
  • We may transfer our rights under these terms to another business that takes over the site. Your rights will not be reduced.
  • Only you and we have rights under these terms.
